Messing & Glas Deckenlampe von Hillebrand, 1970er

748.00 EUR
This vintage flush mount lamp features a polished brass round base with a Murano glass shade. The outside surface is polished to a shine, while the internal surface is textured and natural with a layer of sparkling crystal shards. The result is a softly diffused light. The removable glass shade also has three holes along the side, and is secured to a large circular quality metal plate through three large decorative solid brass bolts around the circumference. These pins screw into individual metal arms extending from the brass base. The glass shade sits securely in place and can be easily removed to gain access to change the light bulbs. The base can easily be screwed to the ceiling or wall through three holes situated in line with the three arms that hold the shade. This flush light carries three standard screw E27 light bulbs up to 60 Watts each. At present, it is fitted and photographed with 25 Watts clear candle light bulbs which are included with the product and it can be used with a dimmer. The light was produced in the 1970s with Brutalist ice effect glass, but the classical form is reminiscent of earlier Art Deco lighting. It also features decorative solid brass pins like a sunburst.
